Artist. Designer. Storyteller... Lasse Fischer

Lasse Fischer is an Glasgow, Scotland based artist and theatrical designer. He recently graduated from the Production Arts and Design course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, and earned his BA in 2022. Lasse previously studied architecture and earned his BSc in 2020 at the University of Kassel, Germany. Whilst studying architecture, he was involved with various theatrical productions, both on and off stage. During this time of his career he worked in Melbourne, Australia as an assistant architect (plus architecture melbourne) as well as for the Dschungel and the Theater Akzent in Vienna, Austria. He also worked in the 2017 Studio Lev production of Hedwig and the angry inch as a set- and costume assistant. 

Lasse`s approach to scenography utilizes contemporary, elegant and dramatic domains that support the artistic themes of the performed pieces and captivate the audience through imaginative spectacle. His work process and style are influenced by his background as performer on stage as well as his love for pioneering and daring performances.

Lasse will work in 2022 and 2023 as an assistant designer at the Staatstheater Kassel for the production of "Peterchens Mondfahrt" as well as the Opera "Die Zauberflöte". He was also assistant designer for "Bookshop Untold" at the Wigtown Book Festival and "Maw Goose" at the Macrobert Arts Centre. Lasse was the Associate Designer for the 2023 production of "Anna Karenina" at the Royal Lyceum in Edinburgh and the Bristol Old Vic.

Lasse Fischer ist ein Künstler und Bühnen- und Kostümbildner aus Kassel, Deutschland. Er lebt zurzeit in Glasgow, Schottland und hat dort seinen BA - Abschluss am Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Produktionsdesign (Theater und Film) in 2022 erworben. Lasse studierte zuvor Architektur und erwarb seinen BSc 2020 an der Universität Kassel. Während seines Architekturstudiums war er sowohl auf als auch hinter der Bühne Teil verschiedener Theaterproduktionen. In dieser Zeit seiner Karriere arbeitete er in Melbourne, Australien als Assistenzarchitekt (Plus architects Melbourne) sowie für den Dschungel und das Theater Akzent in Wien, Österreich. Er wirkte desweiteren in der Studio Lev Kassel Produktion von "Hedwig And The Angry Inch", 2017 als Set- und Kostümbildassistent. 

Lasse hat eine einzigartige Handschrift, welche sich durch ausdrucksstarke, moderne und mutige Räume, die das aufgeführte Stück unterstützen und die Fantasie des Publikums steigern, auszeichnen. Seine Arbeiten und seine Vorgehenweise werden durch seinen Hintergrund als Bühnenperformer sowie seiner Liebe zu dynamischen und wegweisenden Theaterproduktionen beeinflusst. 

Lasse wird in der Spielzeit 2022/23 am Staatstheater Kassel als Austattungsassistent das Stück "Peterchens Mondfahrt" sowie die Oper "Die Zauberflöte" betreuen. Er wirkt außerdem als Assistent an dem Stück "Bookshop Untold" auf dem Wigtown Book Festival und "Maw Goose" in dem Macrobert Arts Centre mit.  Desweiteren war Lasse Associate Designer für das Stück "Anna Karenina" am Royal Lyceum in Edinburgh und dem Bristol Old Vic.
